Jeremy Affeldt is up for Humanitarian of the Year

Go vote

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

A Giant is up for an award, and as always, you, the Giants fan, should go spam votes for him so that he wins. This time it's Jeremy Affeldt!

The people putting this on are called All Sports United, and if you want to be "fair" or some crap, you can go to this link and read all about all of the other nominated athletes. But I don't know why you would do that. There's a player on a team you root for who is nominated. Isn't that way better than Nadia Comaneci?

Affleldt, of course, is nominated for his work with Generation Alive, an organization that fights hunger and is trying to end human trafficking. If he wins, then Generation Alive will receive almost $100,000 in goods and services, which isn't as good as getting more than $100,000 in cash, but is still very good.

If you're stlil not convinced to vote for him, I would like to remind you that Jeremy Affeldt is a World Series hero. How many World Series has Bill Belichick won? None. None is less than three. Checkmate.
