On Monday, Kevin revealed that MLB's new arrangement to make the small time improvement pipeline more productive for the 30 groups incorporated a rundown of 42 groups the nation over that would be dropped from the framework. One of those is the Giants' short season A-ball subsidiary in Oregon, the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. This evening, the group's Twitter account sent this pressing request:

Friday BP: The latest NightKap Fans Shot

+

Blissful Friday, San Francisco Giants fans. Hopefully that you've made some simple memories washing off a fairly horrendous day of Bay Area sports yesterday. Here is a sense of taste cleaning agent for you before this midday's games. It's the most recent portion of NightKap, the video series the Giants are making this season in which mixed media maker Amy G plunks down with supervisor Gabe Kapler and has a conversation, all while drinking some exquisite Laphroaig. They address many subjects — baseball, fathers, and music, among others — and, you know ... drink scotch. Since why not, particularly while they're paying you to do as such.

SF Giants’ González honored for breakout May

+

Luis González wasn’t the Giants rookie with the greatest expectations heaped upon him entering this season, but he’s been among the most successful MLB newcomers so far, earning the title of NL Rookie of the Month for his work in May. González is just the third Giant to win the award since it was established in 2001. Pedro Feliz won in July of that year and the recently retired Buster Posey won in July 2010. The Giants acquired González off waivers from the White Sox last August in a move that has paid huge dividends. Prior to this season, he’d only played nine games at the MLB level. With San Francisco, he’s hitting .324 and slugging .454 with an OPS of .815 in 33 games already. Those figures were a stellar .368/.500/.910 last month. Later that evening, a source spoke to Sports Illustrated and said the potential flip of the nation's top football recruit to the FCS program was a legitimate possibility.

San Francisco Giants' Gabe Kapler maybe just became the first manager with a hand tattoo

+

It’s not every day you see your average professional sports coach with an elaborate, very-visible tattoo on the top of their left hand. Gabe Kapler, the manager of the San Francisco Giants, isn’t your ordinary coach, though.

Another loss in the 9th inning

Well, Strickland gave up another homer in the ninth. Wait, that was the Mariners game, still felt the same. This will be a long season for the Giants. BTW, didn't Belt hit something like .400 during spring training.
