For you and for the Giants.

Happy Monday, San Francisco Giants fans. And a very happy new year to you and yours!

The new year is when we make resolutions, or at least that’s been my goal each year for a while. So here are a few resolutions for the Giants.

  1. Sign another player.
  2. Seriously, any other player.
  3. OK, maybe not any other player.
  4. But, like ... a good player, please.
  5. Then another.
  6. Maybe trade for someone, too.
  7. Someone good, I mean.
  8. Develop Kyle Harrison, Marco Luciano, and Patrick Bailey into bonafide stars.
  9. Maybe Keaton Winn, Carson Whisenhunt, and Luis Matos, while we’re at it.
  10. Be fun to watch.
  11. Give Logan Webb some damn runs.
  12. Draft the next Mike Trout.
  13. Have a winning record.
  14. Make the playoffs.
  15. Eliminate the Dodgers.
  16. Ideally eliminate the Dodgers when Jung Hoo Lee makes a sliding catch to rob a hit from Shohei Ohtani to end the game that Yoshinobu Yamamoto started.
  17. Become an interesting enough team that next offseason good players want to sign with them.

That’s all I’ve got for the Giants. I’m a simple man; I don’t ask for much.

Of course, new year’s resolutions are usually about individuals, not LLCs, so here are a few of my personal resolutions. I encourage you to share some as well.

  1. Start and finish two creative projects I’ve been putting off for years.
  2. Become conversational in two new languages.
  3. Go to the gym regularly all year.
  4. Break 90.
  5. Stop sharing personal information, such as goals and dreams, on the internet with strangers.
