I was curious how Austin Slater is doing with the left/right pitching thing. I was amazed that he is hitting much, much better against righties than lefties. He is hitting .368 BA and 1.05 OPS against RH and .182 BA and .568 OPS against LH. This is opposite to 2021. The way Gabe platoons him the way he does was fine last year, but not this year.

For comparison Darin Ruf is hitting .159 and .433 OPS against RH, and .222 and .596 for LH pitching. Slater is a plus plus on defense. He should be starting against RH at least.
