The San Francisco Giants are finally seeing the last of Coors Field this weekend, as they embark on a three game series against the Colorado Rockies.

Taking the mound for the Giants will be Alex Wood, who enters tonight’s game with a 3.99 ERA, 3.65 FIP, with 139 strikeouts to 39 walks in 128 innings pitched. Wood’s last start was his first after being on injured list for COVID-19, so he was limited on his pitch count. He struck out four, allowing no walks, hits or runs in three innings of work.

He’ll be facing off against Rockies’ right hander Peter Lambert. This will be Lambert’s first start since 2019, having been out since then with Tommy John surgery. In 2019, Lambert made 19 starts, with an ERA of 7.25 and a 5.97 FIP, with 57 strikeouts to 36 walks in 89.1 innings pitched.

The Rockies will be without Connor Joe, after the team decided to shut him down for the season with a right hamstring strain.

No lineups today, as this had to be pre-written. But feel free to post them in the comments!
