Webb’s last start was last Friday in the Giants’ wild 6-5 win over the Atlanta Braves, in which Webb allowed six hits and two runs, striking out nine in seven innings of work.
He’ll be facing off against Yu Darvish, who enters today’s game with 4.13 ERA, 3.88 FIP, with 186 strikeouts to 37 walks in 157 innings pitched. Darvish is coming off of his best start of the season, in Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Darvish allowed just 3 hits, zero runs and a walk, striking out nine in seven innings of work.
