Good morning, baseball fans! And what a morning it is. The Dodgers lost, the Giants won, let’s just not look too close at the box score and everything will be right in the world.
A bit of an injury update for you this morning. Johnny Cueto will be making a rehab start for the Sacramento River Cats today in Salt Lake City. If it goes well, we could see him back with the team possibly before the end of the season.
Also, per Kerry Crowley of The Mercury News, the Giants are still hopeful that they will see Jake McGee return the final weekend of the season. McGee went on the injured list with an oblique strain retroactive to September 14th, and could be eligible as of the 24th. But oblique strains can be tricky, so I would assume they will be acting with caution rather than trying to rush him back.

Giants calling up Travis Ishikawa and Juan Perez (July 29th, 2014 - Grant Brisbee)
What time do the Giants play today?
The San Francisco Giants wrap up this series against the San Diego Padres today at 1:10 p.m., PT. They’ll be hoping to close the series with a sweep and hopefully gain some more ground in the NL West race. On the bright side, it’s the last we’ll see of the Padres until the final series of the season. On the less bright side, the Giants head back to Coors Field tomorrow.
