9/19 Gamethread: Giants vs. Braves

It’s series finale time, and it’s day baseball time. And hopefully it’s the San Francisco Giants winning the baseball game time. Which means hopefully it’s the Atlanta Braves losing the baseball game time.

The Giants are turning to righty Anthony DeSclafani to get the matinee done. Disco has a 3.24 ERA and 3.71 FIP on the season, with 140 strikeouts to 41 walks in 152.2 innings. He’s up against lefty Max Fried, who has remarkably similar numbers: a 3.47 ERA, a 3.52 FIP, and 143 strikeouts to 40 walks in 142.2 innings.

Personal hope: that DeSclafani gets the better of this battle.
