8/14 Gamethread: Giants vs. Rockies

It’s time for the third of four games between the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies, and it’s the rare weekend night game. I’ll take it, provided it brings with it the same results as the Giants had in the first two games of the series (I’ll settle for Thursday’s drama-less affair over Friday’s torture fest, but who am I to argue with wins).

For the Giants it’s the return of Sammy Long, who gets recalled from AAA to make the start. And for the Rockies it’s Kyle Freeland, which is great news for San Francisco. Freeland has a 4.65 ERA, a 4.73 FIP, and 57 strikeouts to 20 walks in 71.2 innings, with 12 home runs allowed.
