It’s time for the series finale between the San Francisco Giants and Houston Astros, after which the Giants will mercifully get a four-game series against the not very good Arizona Diamondbacks.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. There’s a game to be played. And that game will feature the Giants debut of Kris Bryant.

For the Giants it’s right-hander Logan Webb, who has been super strong this year, with a 3.36 ERA, a 3.20 FIP, and 70 strikeouts to 22 walks in 67 innings. He’s up against righty Luis García, who enters the game with a 3.19 ERA, a 3.30 FIP, and 114 strikeouts to 30 walks in 96 innings.

That’s a mighty nice looking pitching matchup. And again: Kris Bryant.

Programming note: There will not be a recap for today’s game.
