7/3 Gamethread: Giants vs. Diamondbacks

It’s the third game in a four-game series between the San Francisco Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks and, after splitting the first two games, the Giants have a chance to take a series lead against a very lowly team. So they should do that.

The Giants are sending Sammy Long to the mound, which is still exciting. It’s just the fifth MLB game for Long, who is still sporting a sub-3 FIP, even if his ERA in 4.95.

San Francisco is 7-1 against Arizona this year, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that 8-1 would look nice.
