It’s time for Game 2 in the three-game series between the San Francisco Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates. The Giants lost the season opener, but if you need to feel better, don’t worry: the Los Angeles Dodgers also lost on Friday, in heartbreaking fashion (making it three straight days of that for them), and to a team nearly as bad as the Pirates (the Colorado Rockies).

The Giants are sending their ace to the mound in Kevin Gausman. He’ll be looking to rebound after a tough start against the Dodgers, where he only pitched three innings and still threw 80 pitches.

Pittsburgh is countering with righty Wil Crowe, who offers a lot of opportunity for the Giants: he has a 6.12 ERA, a 6.06 FIP, and has allowed 30 walks and 14 home runs in 60.1 innings.

Programming note: There will not be a recap today.
