It’s time for the second game in the Bay Bridge Series. And for those in attendance at Oracle Park to watch the San Francisco Giants take on the Oakland A’s, you also get to take home a Mike Yastrzemski bobblehead.

That’s quite lovely.

The Giants are sending their funky lefty to the mound, Alex Wood. Wood has gotten knocked around quite a bit lately: after allowing just 9 earned runs in his first 7 starts (42 innings), he’s given up 21 earned runs in his last 5 starts (24 innings).

The A’s are countering with righty Frankie Montas, whose FIP (3.93) looks a lot nicer than his ERA (4.79).

Programming note: No recap tonight. Apologies again for the lack of recaps lately. They’ll be back on Monday when the Giants visit the Los Angeles Dodgers.
