The San Francisco Giants made a few moves ahead of their Tuesday doubleheader against the Colorado Rockies. Tommy La Stella was placed on the 10-day Injured List due to a strained hamstring, and fellow left-handed infielder Jason Vosler has been recalled to take his place.
San Francisco also brought up left-handed pitcher Conner Menez for the day, to serve as the 27th player permitted for doubleheaders.
ROSTER MOVES: IF Tommy La Stella placed on the 10-day IL (retroactive to May 3) with a left hamstring strain.

IF Jason Vosler recalled from the Alternate Training Site.
LHP Conner Menez appointed as the 27th man for both games of today’s doubleheader.
The Giants signed Vosler at the beginning of the offseason, and raised some eyebrows when they gave him a Major League deal despite the fact that he’d yet to make his MLB debut. When the team subsequently kept Wilmer Flores and Donovan Solano, and signed La Stella to a three-year deal, it was hard to see where Vosler would fit in.
But we know the Giants front office heavily prioritizes depth, and that depth has been tested on multiple occasions this year. And while Vosler serving as season-long member of the 26-player active roster might have signaled a weakness, him acting as insurance when a player is injured is an undeniable strength that has already helped the team.
Vosler was recalled earlier in the year, on April 24, when left-handed pitcher Jarlin García was placed on the IL. In four games, he hit 2-8 with a double, a walk, and a stolen base, before being optioned on April 30.
Menez, who debuted in 2019, has 15 career appearances. This is his first bout on the active roster in 2021.
Because the Giants are on the road, they only had five players to choose from when adding to their roster: Vosler, Menez, infielder Thairo Estrada, catcher Joey Bart, and right-handed pitcher Kervin Castro.
