Who could have predicted that?

Hello and happy Friday. This week’s Friday is brought to you by SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged-in San Francisco Giants fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts — it’s a fun way to turn your post-game anger into actual statistics on the internet that I’ll then use in an article that you can read about and forget you participated in.

The Giants were not supposed to have a good pitching staff this season. That was not in the projections.

But, as every sports broadcaster ever, as well as John King is fond of reminding you, that’s why you play the game. And so far, the Giants are playing the game well, primarily on the pitching front.

And that’s led to a majority of surveyed Giants fans feeling confident in the team’s pitching.

Confidence surrounding the team as a whole is sky high, at 91%, which is up from 87% last week. These are not the numbers I would have predicted when the season started a little over three weeks ago.

Not that I’m complaining.
