Tuesday BP: Which new Giant are you most excited to watch?

The Giants have a whole bunch of new players.

Hello and happy Tuesday.

The San Francisco Giants have made a lot of moves this offseason, as we’ve grown accustomed to them doing in the Farhan Zaidi and Scott Harris era. And as a result, the Giants have a lot of new players. Funny how that works out.

The Giants have added a lot of intriguing Minor League deals, and we’re going to see a lot of those Minor League deals get Major League reps. But they’ve also added a lot of Major League deals.

By my count, the Giants have 12 players on the 40-man roster who were not a member of the organization last year. That feels like a lot. Maybe it isn’t, I’m honestly not entirely sure, but it sure feels that way (for those wondering, the 12 are José Álvarez, John Brebbia, Curt Casali, Anthony DeSclafani, Tommy La Stella, Jake McGee, Dedniel Nuñez, Aaron Sanchez, Jason Vosler, LaMonte Wade Jr., Matt Wisler, and Alex Wood).

So which of the new players are you most looking forward to watching play? Is it one of the players sure to make the roster and provide value, like La Stella or Wisler? Is it a non-roster invitee who you think has a great chance to make the Opening Day roster or be an impact mid-season call-up?

For me it’s Aaron Sanchez or Alex Wood. The latter because I love watching him pitch, and the former because the front office has been chasing him for a while and now I’m intrigued to see what adjustments they think they can make.

How many days until Opening Day?

There are 23 days until Opening Day. That’s Michael Jordan’s number, and he’s one of the greatest baseball players in history, or something.

Have a swell Tuesday, friends.
