Friday BP: Let’s see how Reyes Moronta is doing

Hello and happy Friday.

You’re probably a fan of the San Francisco Giants, and you’re probably a fan of Reyes Moronta. If you’re not a fan of the former, then you’re lost, and you should probably move along and find what you’re looking for. If you’re not a fan of the latter, then ... look, I can’t legally reject service to anyone who is a Giants fan, but ... come on.

Moronta is great, and I’m very excited to see him pitch again after injuries sapped him of a 2020 season. He’s also an extremely easy Giant to root for.

As you may know, the Giants have had a YouTube feature this year called “Catchin’ Up,” where they play catch with a player and ask him questions. They just released an episode with Moronta, and I’m starting to think that he lurks on McCovey Chronicles, because he talked about our two favorite topics: food, and the Giants (in that order).

You should watch it and enjoy. Reyes is the best, and I wish him a happy and healthy season this year.
