2021 Willie McCovey Memorial Community Prospect List No. 41

2019 was the first year that Farhan Zaidi had control of the San Francisco Giants draft, and it’s showing up in a big way in the 2021 Willie McCovey Memorial Community Prospect List.

Rounding out the top 40 is right-handed infielder Tyler Fitzgerald, the team’s fourth-round pick in 2019. He becomes the seventh player from the draft to make this year’s CPL, and two of the nominees today are also from that class. That said, it’s a bit of a drop for Fitzgerald, who was No. 34 on his inaugural CPL but dropped six spots to No. 40.
