The 26th iteration of the 2021 Willie McCovey Memorial Community Prospect List was a close one. There were five nominees, with all five pulling in at least 15% of the vote.

But there can only be one winner, and that winner is Grant McCray, who has been voted as the No. 26 prospect in the San Francisco Giants farm. The 20-year old outfielder was the Giants third-round pick in 2019, Farhan Zaidi’s first draft with the organization. With no Minor Leagues last year, he basically repeated his spot on the CPL, moving up one spot from a year ago.

Now let’s find someone to occupy his old spot at No. 27. And it’s nomination day, so please comment with your nominees for the next CPL, and be sure to recommend the names you agree with.
