It’s finally time to watch the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLDS.
It’s been 190 days since the Giants began the season, with everyone carrying modest expectations. It’s been 1,823 days since the Giants last played a game in the postseason.
And now it’s time again.
Not surprisingly, it’s a rather epic pitching matchup between the Giants Logan Webb and the Dodgers Walker Buehler, a pair of righties. Webb finished the year with a 3.03 ERA and 2.72 FIP, with 158 strikeouts to 36 walks in 148.1 innings. His counterpart ended with a 2.47 ERA and 3.16 FIP, with 212 strikeouts to 57 walks in 207.2 innings.
It’s postseason baseball. It’s Giants vs. Dodgers.
Finally.
