Good morning, baseball fans!
As I mentioned yesterday, today we’re going to talk a little bit about the World Series currently in progress between the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves.
Sure, we’re two games into the series, but with Houston tying the series up in last night’s blowout win, now is as good a time as any to make predictions based purely on speculation.
Now, there isn’t a lot I have in common with Grant Brisbee, other than writing baseball content on McCovey Chronicles dot com. But there is one other important thing. We have both accurately predicted unexpected World Series outcomes in the past. Grant correctly predicted (if facetiously) that the San Francisco Giants would sweep the Detroit Tigers in 2012. And I correctly predicted that the Washington Nationals would beat the Astros in seven games in 2019.
So I’m bringing that same energy for Atlanta in 7. They’re a scrappy, underdog team sprinkled with former/forever Giants who have been generally undercounted in these playoffs. They’re giving me big time 2019 Nationals vibes and I’m here for it (even if I think the chop should be yeeted into the sun).
Get your predictions in down in the comments so we can all come back to this one day and point and laugh at each other!
