The San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers have set their lineups for Game 4 of the NLDS, which takes place tonight at 6:07 p.m. PT at Dodger Stadium.
The Giants are not going as platoon-heavy as we’ve seen from them in other parts of the season, and that’s been a bit of a theme this series. Perhaps it’s because the Dodgers have a righty-heavy bullpen (in addition to a right-handed starting pitcher), and the Giants are keeping some left-handed hitting options available off the bench for pinch-hitting and late game substitutions. Or perhaps it’s because they’re going with the usually solid plan of simply playing their best hitters, as Alex Dickerson and Steven Duggar are the lefties who will start the game on the bench.
Either way, the pitchers have a bit of a platoon advantage, as Walker Buehler will only face four left-handed hitters, while Anthony DeSclafani will only face three.
Here are the lineups, with each player’s season line followed by their stats this series.
