Hello and happy Monday. On Sunday, it was reported that San Francisco Giants fan favorite Pablo Sandoval was re-signing with the Atlanta Braves on a one-year deal.

The Giants surprisingly re-signed Sandoval last season, as he was rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. He struggled mightily, didn’t look fully healthy, and was eventually designated for assignment.

I thought that it might mark the end of Sandoval’s career, but no. He quickly caught on with the playoff-bound Braves, finished the season with them, and made the postseason roster. He only received four regular season plate appearances and four postseason plate appearances with Atlanta, but he’ll get another chance with the team, which employs a shocking number of former Giants.

Hopefully he makes the roster. Baseball is better with the Panda in it.
