Saturday BP: Do Charles Johnson’s actions change your view of the Giants?

How do we balance bad owners of teams we love?

Hello and happy Saturday. And happy weekend!

A few days ago, Marc Delucchi, who covers the San Francisco Giants for Around the Foghorn, had me on his podcast. It was a fun time, and we talked rebuilding, the rotation, and Charles Johnson. Mostly Johnson, to be honest.

We had a good discussion about sports owners being held (or not held) accountable, the disappointing nature of Johnson’s donations, and the fact that players are asked to answer for a team’s actions, while owners rarely are.

Which left me with a question for all of you: how much does an owner impact how you feel about the team?

There are 68 days until Opening Day. Or so they keep telling me.

Hope you all have a tremendous Saturday. Happy weekend!
