20 episodes of the 2021 Willie McCovey Memorial Prospect List are officially in the book, and rounding out the top 20 San Francisco Giants prospects is a player who spent a little bit of time at the MLB level in each of the past two seasons: outfielder Jaylin Davis.
Davis just snuck into the top 20, winning CPL #20 by just four votes. He falls eight spots from his placement on 2020, and understandably so. Davis struck out in half of his 12 plate appearances last season, which led to him being optioned a week into the season. He never returned, even as outfielder after outfielder circulated through the Oracle Park grass.
Now let’s find out who will follow him on the list.
