Hello and happy Friday.
On Thursday, Baseball Prospectus released their annual ranking of the top 101 prospects in baseball, and it featured four members of the San Francisco Giants organization.
Marco Luciano cracked the top 10, as he was ranked the No. 8 prospect in the sport. Behind him was Joey Bart at No. 29, Heliot Ramos at No. 32, and Hunter Bishop at No. 75.
This paints a rosier picture of the farm than Baseball America did earlier in the week, when they ranked Luciano No. 12, Bart No. 41, and Ramos No. 83, with no fourth Giant making their top 100.
Without a year of Minor League Baseball, and prospect analysts largely relying on reports from Instructionals and Alternate Training Sites, it shouldn’t be surprising that these two publications see things so differently with regards to the Giants.
