The San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres got the best news possible on Sunday morning: MLB concluded that the positive coronavirus test result from a Giants player was a false positive, and the teams are cleared to get back to baseball.

That means a Sunday doubleheader, just in case the first NFL Sunday, the US Open Mens Final, and a pivotal NBA playoff game didn’t give you enough sports to watch throughout your Sunday.

Game #46

Who: San Francisco Giants (23-22) vs. San Diego Padres (29-17)
Where: Petco Park, San Diego, California
When: 1:10 p.m. PT
Regional broadcast: NBC Sports Bay Area (available through fuboTV)
National broadcast: None
Radio: KNBR 680 AM/104.5 FM

Notes

Dickerson was the false positive: Farhan Zaidi told reporters that Alex Dickerson was the person who tested positive for the coronavirus, but has had numerous negative tests since.

No Gausman in Game 2: Kevin Gausman was originally scheduled to start the second game of the doubleheader, but has been pulled. Logan Webb will get the start instead. Hopefully Gausman is ready to go by Tuesday.

Enjoy the baseball, friends. And after the baseball, enjoy the second baseball, friends.
