Lineups

The Giants are facing a right-handed pitcher for the first time this series, so it’s a new look lineup. A day after hitting two home runs, Austin Slater gets a start against a righty.

    RHP — Kevin Gausman — 5.27 ERA, 2.82 FIP, 17 K and 2 BB in 13.2 IP

The Dodgers lineup, however, is quite similar to the first two games. Or at least the meat of it is.

  1. LF — Joc Pederson (L) — .216/.341/.459 — 127 OPS+
  2. RF — Mookie Betts (R) — .283/.345/.566 — 155 OPS+

  9. SS — Kike Hernandez (R) — .255/.286/.383 — 89 OPS+
    RHP — Walker Buehler — 5.19 ERA, 8.97 FIP, 6 K and 4 BB in 8.2 IP

Notes

Roster moves: In case you missed it, the Giants made four moves on Sunday morning. It included adding left-handed reliever Jarlin Garcia to the active roster, and we might see him in this game.

Taking it in stride: Hunter Pence was openly devastated after losing a ball in the lights on Saturday, and costing Johnny Cueto a chance at a no-hitter. But he’s taking it in stride by poking fun at himself.

And while Cueto was justifiably upset at the outcome, he doesn’t appear upset with his teammate.

Enjoy the baseball!
