Due to the coronavirus outbreak suspending the 2020 MLB season, we’re rewatching the three San Francisco Giants postseason runs, game-by-game, on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights at 6 p.m. PT, with a gamethread for each.
The San Francisco Giants put a beatdown on the Kansas City Royals in Game 1 of the World Series. The Royals returned the favor in Game 2. And now we’re all tied up at 1-1, with the series headed to the Bay Area for the next three games.
The Giants will try to retake the lead behind veteran right-handed pitcher Tim Hudson. In his 16th season and first with the Giants, Hudson finished the year with a 9-13 record, a 3.57 ERA, a 3.54 FIP, and 120 strikeouts in 189.1 innings. He was selected to the NL All-Star team.
Kansas City is countering with right-hander Jeremy Guthrie, who finished the season with a 13-11 record, a 4.13 ERA, a 4.32 FIP, and 124 strikeouts in 202.2 innings.
We’re starting this rewatch at the same time as all the other ones: 6 p.m. PT. The video is embedded at the bottom of the article, or you can find it at this link, or you can YouTube search “2014 World Series Game 3” and click the first link.
