We’re all here because we love the San Francisco Giants. And because we love the Giants, we love going to the ballpark to watch them. And because we love going to the ballpark to watch them, we want to have some good gear to rep the team while sitting in the bleachers watching baseball next to wild and crazy fans.
Hold up, I think I got some of that wrong. Let me try again.
We’re all here because we love the San Francisco Giants. And because we love the Giants, we love going to the ballpark couch to watch them. And because we love going to the ballpark couch to watch them, we want to have some good gear to rep the team while sitting in the bleachers living room watching baseball next to wild and crazy fans the cat.
Ahh, yes, that’s more like it.
The Giants are set to kick off the season on July 23 against the Los Angeles Dodgers, nearly four months after their originally scheduled start to the year. Opening Day may be weird this in 2020 — it’s in July, there won’t be fans, Buster Posey will be absent, it counts 2.7 times more than a normal Opening Day, and so on and so forth — but it’s still the same in some regards.
One of those regards is a rule as old as sports themselves: Wear the gear of your team, and you increase the odds that they win. Don’t wear the gear, and you’ve only yourself to blame when they lose. I don’t want to see any of you crying in the comment section after a 17-2 defeat if you were rocking your “UC Irvine Class of ‘92” shirt all nine innings. It’s time to get your act together. We’re all taking this seriously; what’s your excuse?
If your Giants gear is lacking though, we’ve got you covered with things that ... uhh ... get you covered.
You’d look good in all of those things. Trust me.
