Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged in Giants fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

Last week was Rivalry Week at SB Nation, and I posed the question: Are the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers actually rivals?

I’ll be honest, people were not very happy with that question, and for good reason. Most people see the Giants and Dodgers as a clear cut rivalry.

But apparently Giants fans aren’t the only ones who sense that rivalry. According to the latest reacts polls, the Dodgers are the most common rival for MLB fans.

Even if you don’t think the Giants and Dodgers have a clear-cut rivalry, there can be no doubt that it’s the closest thing to a rivalry that the Giants have. Giants fans almost unanimously agree on that.

Rivalries don’t always breed hatred, but the Dodgers inspire that emotion plenty, too. MLB fans join hands with Giants fans in hating the Dodgers, and don’t have the same negative emotions for the Giants.

I’m not really breaking any news here by saying that Giants fans hate the Dodgers, but Los Angeles’ place as the most hated team maybe isn’t as overwhelming as you might think. Turns out Giants fans don’t like the Houston Astros, New York Yankees, or Oakland A’s much, either.

As for what makes the rivalries click? Most fans think it’s them: the fans.

Anyway, in conclusion, boo a Dodgers fan today. It will make you feel better. But wear a mask when you do it. Or better yet, do it virtually.
