Hello and happy Monday. I hope it’s a great one for you.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve been consuming as much San Francisco Giants draft content as possible. Normally the draft gets lost a little bit because it occurs smack dab in the middle of the MLB season. But with the season on the sideline, all we’ve got is the draft.
I’ve been scouring YouTube for as many videos as possible of the seven players that the Giants selected in the five-round draft. Kindly the Giants have decided to help me out, by posting a video with highlights from their drafted players, complete with audio from the people who decided to draft those players.
It’s great! It’s baseball content! It’s what we’ve got!
Did Barry Bonds hit a home run today?
Oh hell yes he did.
June 22, 1994: Against the Cincinnati Reds, Bonds hit a solo home run in the 4th inning off of Erik Hanson. It tied the game 2-2, but the Giants would lose 4-3. It was his 16th homer of the year.
June 22, 1995: Against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Bonds hit a 2-run home run in the 7th inning off of Ramon Martinez, scoring Darren Lewis. It cut the Giants deficit to 6-5, and they would lose 7-6. It was his 11th homer of the year.
June 22, 1997: Against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Bonds hit a solo home run in the 4th inning off of Chan Ho Park. It gave the Giants a 2-1 lead, and they would win 4-2 (Beat LA). It was his 16th homer of the year, and his 4th in the series.
June 22, 2007: Against the New York Yankees, Bonds hit a solo home run in the 8th inning off of Scott Proctor. It cut the Giants deficit to 6-3, and they would lose 7-3. It was his 15th homer of the year.
Have a great Monday, one and all.
