Happy Saturday, everyone. You made it to the weekend! Congrats!
I’ve posted a few episodes of “Chalk Talk @ Home” in this segment before, and I’ve got another to show you. If you haven’t watched them, they’re a series of YouTube videos the San Francisco Giants have been putting out since baseball was suspended.
They’re a little over an hour, and feature broadcasters Mike Krukow, Duane Kuiper, Dave Flemming, and Jon Miller chatting with each other, and with other people in the organization.
The most recent episode features none other than Hunter Pence! And if that doesn’t make it worth watching, I don’t know what does. It also has Giants manager Gabe Kapler and pitching coach Andrew Bailey.
Check it out:
Did Barry Bonds hit a home run today?
Yup.
May 23, 1993: Against the Cincinnati Reds, Bonds hit a solo home run in the 4th inning off of John Smiley. It tied the game 1-1 and the Giants would win 3-2. It was his 11th homer of the year.
May 23, 2000: Against the Montreal Expos, Bonds hit a solo home run in the 4th inning off of Carl Pavano. It cut the deficit to 3-1, and the Giants would lose 3-2. It was his 17th homer of the year.
Have a great Saturday, everybody!
