Due to the coronavirus outbreak suspending the 2020 MLB season, we’re rewatching the three San Francisco Giants postseason runs, game-by-game, on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights at 6 p.m. PT, with a gamethread for each.
Things are not looking good for the San Francisco Giants. After getting blown out 9-0 by the Cincinnati Reds in Game 2 of the National League Division Series, the Giants find themselves on the brink of elimination. Not only do they need to win three straight games, but they need to win three straight road games.
With the season on the line, the Giants are turning to Ryan Vogelsong. Vogelsong finished the season with a 14-9 record, a 3.37 ERA, a 3.70 FIP, and 158 strikeouts in 189.2 innings.
The Reds are hoping to close things out with Homer Bailey, who finished the season with a 13-10 record, a 3.68 ERA, a 3.97 FIP, and 168 strikeouts in 208 innings.
We’re starting this rewatch at the same time as all of the rewatches: 6 p.m. PT. The video isn’t embeddable, but you can find it by clicking here, then you can watch or cast from your browser. Or you can find it on YouTube by searching “Giants 2012 NLDS Game 3” and clicking the first link.
For those who want to skip the pregame show, the actual game starts a little more than 8 minutes in. So you can join at 6:08 p.m. PT, and use this link to go straight to the 8-minute mark.
