Due to the coronavirus outbreak suspending the 2020 MLB season, we’re rewatching the three San Francisco Giants postseason runs, game-by-game, on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights at 6 p.m. PT, with a gamethread for each.

The St. Louis Cardinals beat the San Francisco Giants in Game 3 of the 2012 NLCS, to take a 2-1 series lead. Now comes a pivotal (they’re all pivotal, aren’t they?) Game 4. If the Giants win, they can even the series, and turn it into a best of three series, with two of the three games in San Francisco. But if they lose, they’ll face the uphill battle of having to win three straight games.

The Giants are sending out two-time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum, who finished the season with a 10-15 record, a 5.18 ERA, a 4.18 FIP, and 190 strikeouts in 186 innings.

The Cardinals are countering with Adam Wainwright, who finished the year with a 14-13 record, a 3.94 ERA, a 3.10 FIP, and 184 strikeouts in 198.2 innings.

We’re starting this rewatch at the same time as all of the rewatches: 6 p.m. PT. The video isn’t embeddable, but you can find it by clicking here, then you can watch or cast from your browser. Or you can find it on YouTube by searching “Giants 2012 NLCS Game 4” and clicking the first link.

There’s a little more than 8 minutes of pregame coverage, so if you want to skip that, you can come back at 6:08 p.m. and use this link.
