Hello and happy weekend, one and all.
The San Francisco Giants added a few late international signings last week, according to one of the most reliable sources in Giants prospecting, Twitter user @giantsprospects.
The Giants signed a pair of 17 year old pitchers from the Dominican Republic: right-hander Juan Ismael Morillo, and left-hander Johnny Grullon.
Giants signed RHP Juan Ismael Morillo (17.6Y, 5’10” 145) to an international free agent contract. He is from Azua, Dominican Republic

Giants signed LHP Johnny Grullon (17.10Y, 6’0” 170) to an international free agent contract. He is from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Signings this late in the cycle are generally low enough in pedigree that there’s not really any information on them. So I don’t have any additional info here, except that this year’s international signing class for the Giants has now reached 43 players.
With the signings of Grullon and Morillo, the Giants 2019-2020 international signing class is at 43. Javier Francisco's signing is now official as well, though he's listed officially listed as Francisco Javier.

This might be the last Giants news we get until the 2020 MLB Draft on June 10, so enjoy it.
Did Barry Bonds hit a home run today?
Yes, and kind of a funny one at that.
May 16, 1997: Against the Montreal Expos, Bonds hit a 3-run home run in the 3rd inning off of Salomon Torres, scoring Jose Vizcaino and Glenallen Hill. It gave the Giants an 11-2 lead, but they still managed to lose 14-13. It was his 7th homer of the year.
