Happy Opening Day, Giants fans.

Nothing can compare to an actual baseball game, and nothing can come close to comparing to a home opener.

But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try.

Jon Miller and Dave Flemming — two of everyone’s favorite San Francisco Giants, despite never having played an inning of professional baseball — are doing their part to bring us the closest thing possible to baseball. Which, admittedly, is still a far cry from baseball.

But damn if it doesn’t bring a little bit of a smile to all of our cold hearts.

Miller and Flemming, an iconic broadcasting duo, took to social media on Friday to broadcast what should have been the Giants home opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Using a Strat-O-Matic simulation, Miller and Flemming broadcast the 3-0 Giants win, with a little help from highlight clips from old games, audio clips of Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow, and some Academy Award-quality acting from Flemming’s kids.

Go Giants. Go Baseball. Enjoy.
