It is no surprise who Bleacher Report selected.

The first half of the decade went about as well as San Francisco Giants fans could have hoped. Winning three World Series championships over a five-year span is something most fans only dream of.

Bleacher Report compiled a list of every MLB team’s MVP of the past decade. The Giants have a few options they could have chosen from, but it was no surprise they went with pitcher Madison Bumgarner.

Here is writer David Kenyon had to say about his choice:

Buster Posey is a deserving candidate and led the Giants in WAR (41.9). But the franchise has three World Series trophies because of Bumgarner. Beyond his 119 wins and 3.14 ERA, MadBum allowed a single run in 36 World Series innings during the decade, and his name litters the Fall Classic leaderboard.”

Bumgarner is a legend for his dominance during the postseason, but Posey is definitely worth consideration as well.

Who do you consider the franchise’s MVP over the past decade?
