Good morning and condolences. Many of you are fans of the San Francisco 49ers, and I can’t imagine your Sundays were particularly fun. Not the stuff dreams are made of. I’m sorry. You deserved better.
With football firmly in the rear view mirror, we have no choice but to turn our attention to baseball. Also because this is a baseball website, weirdo.
Mauricio Dubón seems to agree with me that it’s time to move on to baseball:

Well then. Can’t really argue with that, can you?
More seriously, with baseball around the corner, it’s time to get used to the idea of Dubón playing center field. The writing has been on the wall for a while. Over the offseason, San Francisco Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi alluded to the potential for Dubón to play more positions, which shouldn’t be surprising given Zaidi’s love of positional versatility.
And then the Giants went and signed Gold Glove-winning second baseman Yolmer Sánchez, while promising him that he would compete for a starting position at Dubón’s spot.
All of that points towards Dubón playing a little bit of everywhere - second base, shortstop, and yes, center field.
But if those were the hints, Dubón seemed to confirm the theory:

Works for me.
