Hello and happy Sunday. I hope you’re all staying healthy, safe, and responsible as things get scarier once again.
When the coronavirus suspended the 2020 MLB season for many months, the San Francisco Giants released a great YouTube series called “Chalk Talk @ Home.” In it, broadcasters Duane Kuiper, Mike Krukow, Dave Flemming, and Jon Miller got on a Zoom video call with each other, and talked with various members of the Giants organization, from players, to coaches, to front office members.
The 2021 season seems likely to start on time, but we’re still all stuck in the house for a long offseason, so the Giants brought back the series to get us all through the winter.
In the first episode of the offseason, the broadcasters talk with president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi and general manager Scott Harris, then catch up with manager Gabe Kapler.
It’s a good watch, especially if you’re missing Giants baseball.
