Hello and happy Sunday.
It’s amazing how quickly Mike Yastrzemski became a fan favorite for every San Francisco Giants fan. Who could have possibly thought, when the Giants traded Tyler Herb for a 28-year old who had yet to make his MLB debut, that they were getting someone who would set things on fire in the best way possible.
But he did. Yastrzemski had a breakout season in 2019 that looked like an outlier, and followed it up in 2020 with a campaign that proved it wasn’t. He was near the top of the MVP discussion for a while, would have made the All-Star team had there been an All-Star Game, and made second-team All-MLB.
So let’s watch his top five offensive and defensive plays from the truncated season, because we’re still a long ways away from live baseball.
Ahh, it’s beautiful.

How many days until Opening Day?
There are 109 days until Opening Day. 109!
Have a great Sunday. Enjoy the football. Or the preseason basketball, if you’re into that sort of thing (I am). Or the Formula 1 finale if you’re into that sort of thing (I am).
