Hello San Francisco Giants fans. I imagine most of you currently have the TV on, watching the election. That’s important — very important, in fact.
It’s also exceedingly stressful and in no way fun at all, and taking care of yourself is important. So maybe put the TV down for a few minutes and watch something else.
But what can you do to distract yourself? Oh, I’m so glad you asked. Here, let me help you out.
How about the Giants winning their World Series titles in 2010, 2012, and 2014.
Oh those are nice. Remember some of the fun moments that got them there? In 2010, of course, Tim Lincecum had his masterful performance against the Atlanta Braves.
And then in 2012, Buster Posey had that majestic grand slam against Mat Latos and the Cincinnati Reds.
And in 2014, Travis Ishikawa literally had the pennant-clinching walk-off home run.
What about some great individual pitching performances? I’m thinking about Matt Cain’s perfect game, of course.
And Lincecum had two no-hitters, you might recall.
Speaking of no-hitters, Jonathan Sanchez had one of those, as did Chris Heston.
Remember when Brandon Crawford had seven hits in a single game?
And remember when Brandon Belt hit a home run in the 18th inning of a postseason game?
And remember when Barry Bonds hit 73 home runs despite also being walked 177 times?
Angel Pagan inside-the-park walk-off home run anyone?
Yeah, those are happy times. Watch some of these videos, and feel the stress start to drift away, even if just temporarily.
