We unfortunately didn’t get to see starting pitcher Tyler Beede pitch for the San Francisco Giants this year. The right-hander was showing some great signs during Spring Training, but suffered a UCL injury in March. He had Tommy John surgery right as the 2020 MLB season was getting suspended.
But he stayed involved with the team. We heard updates about his rehab, saw social media posts of him encouraging on his teammates, and even saw him at the World Series celebrating one of the Los Angeles Dodgers losses.
And apparently he stayed close with his teammates. Over the weekend, Giants right-handed reliever Tyler Rogers got married. And the officiant? Tyler Beede.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Rogers!

It always makes me happy when teammates prove to be great friends off the field as well. It’s pretty clear that Beede and Rogers have more in common than just being right-handed Giants pitchers named ‘Tyler.’
Congratulations to Rogers and his wife, Jennifer Ryan.
