When it comes to learning about San Francisco Giants prospects, you can’t beat reading our own Roger and Kevin. At the moment they’re leading our Community Prospect Lists, which I highly recommend checking out.
But if you want to get excited about the Giants farm - which is finally worth being excited about - then you want to inject as much prospecting into your veins as possible.
And that’s where the beauty of top 100 lists come in.
It’s that time of year where publications start rolling out their top 100 prospects lists, and the Giants are occupying the lists in a much more rosy fashion than in prior years.
Baseball Prospectus lists four Giants in their top 100, highlighted by Marco Luciano at #14. Joey Bart and Heliot Ramos aren’t far behind, at #25 and #34, respectively, with Hunter Bishop rounding out the Giants portion at #68.
MLB Pipeline also sees a Giants prospect as being #14 in the league, though they see things differently than Baseball Prospectus. Pipeline has Bart occupying that spot, with Luciano at #35. Ramos comes in at #65, and Bishop at #71, with Seth Corry joining the party at #99.
Hey, those all look pretty good.
