Giants vs. Padres, 8/30

New, 106 comments

Lamet (2-2, 4.30 ERA) vs. Bumgarner (8-8, 3.71 ERA)

Chicago Cubs v San Francisco Giants

Madison Bumgarner will be remembered for many things, but I’m sure he will like it if one of those things winds up being, “he struck out more Padres in his career than players from any other team.” Through 35 games against them, he’s struck out 222 in 223.1 innings.

Tonight, he has a chance to win his 60th game at Oracle Park and improve his W-L at home to 60-40 through 137 starts. This also could very well be ONE OF HIS FINAL STARTS IN A GIANTS UNIFORM. Again.

CF — Manuel Margot
LF — Wil Myers
3B — Manny Machado
RF — Hunter Renfroe
1B — Eric Hosmer
2B — Ty france
SS — Luis Urias
C — Austin Hedges
SP — Dinelson Lamet

Myers is hitting .178/.302/.422 in 53 career PAs against Bumgarner because three of his 8 hits have been home runs.

RF — Mike Yastrzemski
1B — Brandont Belt
3B — Evan Longoria
LF — Alex Dickerson
C — Buster Posey
CF — Kevin Pillar
SS — Brandon Crawford
2B — Mauricio Dubon
SP — Madison Bumgarner

It’s going to be a real show tonight. Dinelson Lamet’s stuff is nasty.

I’m going to put the over/under for strikeouts by Lamet at 8.5.
