Good morning, McCoven!
If you live in the Sacramento area, you might want to get tickets to Monday night’s game, because Johnny Cueto is moving on up in his rehab assignments and joining the River Cats, potentially for two starts.
The Giants are reportedly aiming for September 8th to be the date that Cueto finally makes his return to the club, which has been Cueto’s personal goal all along. He pitched for San Jose on Tuesday night, and while it wasn’t smooth sailing (don’t look at the box score, don’t do it! Bad readers!), he made it to his goal of 60 pitches and will keep moving through the process.
With Cueto on the mound, the River Cats will take on the Reno Aces in Sacramento on Monday night at 7:05 pm. And (/checks weather) it should only be 98 degrees! That’s practically chilly for the central valley at this time of year.
