Good morning, McCoven!
Are you one of those people who likes to ponder alternate realities? All of those tiny flaps of butterfly wings that could have changed the whole world. Especially the awful ones? Well have I got a scenario for you! At this point in the 2015, the Giants were reportedly very interested in trading actual players, (players with value!), to the Phillies for Chase Utley.
Sources: #SFGiants and #Phillies in ongoing talks about Chase Utley trade. Stage is advanced enough that prospect names have been discussed.

Imagine that nightmare scenario as you sip your morning coffee. Sure, Utley is probably a fine person and he was a good baseball player and I’m not sure how much the collective disdain for him would have failed to materialize had he not gone to the Dodgers (which ultimately led to him breaking Ruben Tejada’s fibula during the 2015 NLDS).

Butley, indeed.
To add insult to literal injury, Utley has since voiced actual hatred for the Mets organization. In an interview a couple of weeks ago with SportsNet LA, he was asked if he harbors any true hatred for the team, to which he replied: “I do, I do. That’s all I have to say.”
I mean, sure, it’s fun to make fun of the Mets’ ownership, but there are STANDARDS.
