It’s the final game of the unofficial first half of the MLB season. After a lackluster start to the season, the San Francisco Giants are flirting with going into the All-Star break on a roll.
San Francisco has won six of their last eight games, and outscored their opponents 61-35 in the process. They’re playing good baseball! And they have a chance to go into the break with some momentum.
Standing in their way are the St. Louis Cardinals, who need a win to stay above .500.
After today, all of the Giants not named “Will Smith” will have four days off before resetting for the rest of July.
Second half rotation IF Bum is OK. Anderson, Bumgarner, Beede in MIL. Pomeranz and TBA in 7/15 doubleheader at COL. Samardzija then Anderson again. TBA Monday could be DRod. He’ll pitch for San Jose at Rancho Cucamonga on Monday. Beede to join Richmond to throw a pen. #sfgiants
