In honor of Bruce Bochy’s 1,000th win, today I’m going to share some post game highlights from social media.
The Giants’ account honored Bochy with this fun video:

The actual Giants honored Bochy by spraying him with beer, something Bochy should be familiar with at this point, even if it’s been a while:
Bochy addressed the players to thank them for all they’ve done to get him to 1,000 career wins as a Giant. Then they sprayed him with beer. Normally rookies get dumped in a laundry cart and doused after their first hit or win. “I’m not small enough to fit in a cart,” Bochy said.

Bochy himself had this to say:

And Madison Bumgarner? Well, he had the right response to a really poorly timed question by one of the local reporters, who thought this night of all nights was a good time to ask Bumgarner how he would feel about playing for the Yankees.
Two minutes into session with media, a local reporter asked Bumgarner how he would feel about playing for Yankees. Bumgarner looked back at jersey in his locker, said “I’m pretty sure we’re still in the Giants clubhouse and I’m here trying to win games for this club.”
