Yesterday, I thought we’d probably hear something about Buster Posey very soon, and today... here we are:
Get used to more Stephen Vogt and Aramis Garcia.

The Giants placed Buster Posey on the IL with a hamstring strain and called up a reliever (via @PavlovicNBCS)https://t.co/li8EvvGmIC pic.twitter.com/21EYeGu97R
On the one hand, multiple injuries to a 32-year old catcher with lots of mileage isn’t much of a surprise. On the other hand, the Giants could really use his bat.
But last night’s extra innings weirdo miracle win didn’t involve him at all. Thank you, Mets.
LF — Jeff McNeil
1B — Pete Alonso
2B — Robinson Cano
RF — Michael Conforto
C — Wilson Ramos
3B — Todd Frazier
SS — Amed Rosario
CF — Carlos Gomez
SP — Jason Vargas
Jason Vargas is a soft tossing lefty. This is the exact matchup a guy like Tyler Austin should dominate.
2B — Joe Panik
SS — Donovan Solano
LF — Tyler Austin
3B — Evan Longoria
1B — Brandon Belt
CF — Kevin Pillar
C — Aramis Garcia
RF — Mike Yastrzemski
SP — Tyler Beede
The return of Canó sets up an interesting obstacle for Tyler Beede. He was slugging just .371 before hitting the IL (but .490 combined for the previous three seasons) with a leg injury, but hitters have slugged .518 off of Beede so far this season.
